Dynamic, passionate, talented are just some of the words that describe solo artist Sandy Duperval. Born and raised in Montreal, she started singing at age 3 and by 5 years old began performing, becoming a lifelong passion. She cites influences such as Whitney Houston, Robin S, Crystal Waters, Tina Turner, and Martha Wash among others.
It was Sandy’s thrill during her 15 years of vocal training to be tutored by Cissy Houston, mother of Whitney. While in college majoring in jazz vocals, Sandy found her footing as a solo artist and began a 11-year residency at Unity Nightclub in Montreal, Quebec.
Her unique stage presence has kept her schedule full with bookings in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City in her native Canada, and she has also performed in Florida, Morocco, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, France, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Dubai. She has opened for acts such as Bob Sinclair, Lil Jon, Ultra Nate, Carnage, Travis Scott, Chus & Ceballos, Morabito, Ruby Rose, and others.
She has recorded with dance music producers such as Jason Fraser (Toronto), Kone & Marc Palacios (Spain), Edhim (Morocco), Stan Courtois (NYC), Etienne Osborne (Ottawa), and Martin Villeneuve (Gatineau).
Among her achievements is her appointment as Ambassador of the first Canada Pride in 2017 and Montreal Pride since 2016. She has toured 30 dates in the United States and performed live on television for “We Day” and the US Open.
